Just come as a drop in for one or more classes until the next series begins, or purchase a smaller class package you can complete before the next series.

  • Yoga Basics Class  This is a perfect class for beginners, those who have not practiced for awhile, those with injuries and experienced students who want to learn more about precision alignment, breathing practices and meditative focus.  Please check with us before coming to make sure we have enough people for the 6 week session.  Class time is Monday’s 6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. 407-831-2229 or click to email. 
  • Kundalini Yoga classes are for  all levels.  Yoga Basics isn’t necessary to have before but helpful.  This class goes more into inner alignment  with sets of exercises that include chakra’s,  mantra’s, breath work and challenging your body at the same time.   • We know now more than ever how important Yoga is to strengthen the body, the respiratory system and the immune system.  Yoga practices also are tremendous for everyday type stresses to clear the mind, calm the nervous system and stabilize the emotions. Then we have a chance to experience our true Self. Yoga is the journey to yourself removing what’s in the way.
  • It is always best to bring your own mat but we do have mats to borrow.  Yoga blocks, straps & blankets are also available if you don’t have them.  Don’t eat anything heavy 2 hours before class.

Whether you live in Longwood, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Winter Springs, Casselberry, Sanford, Maitland or any of the surrounding areas, Lake Center Yoga will be right for you.

All yoga classes must be completed within the same 6 Week Session as purchased. If you signed up for a specific day and miss that class you may make it up on any other day in any other class of your choice during that same session.

Yoga Class Descriptions — Choose the Right Class for You!

Come and expand the potential of your body, mind and spirit in these wonderful classes at Lake Center Yoga. The only things necessary for class are comfortable workout type clothes, an open mind, a good attitude and a willingness to enjoy where you are in the poses according to your capacity in each moment.
Our classes are held at a comfortable 75 degrees.

You will be infinitely rewarded on all levels with these classes.  You will learn proper principles of alignment in the yoga poses and also every class will incorporate ancient yoga wisdom and techniques from Kundalini and Hatha Yoga.  In addition to learning Yoga Asana’s (poses) you will learn techniques of breathing, mantra work, meditation and deep relaxation.  Basic alignment principles also will include how to use the Yoga Bandha’s.  These actions not only give you tremendous core strength and spinal alignment but will teach you how to direct energy to a higher level of perception. This will give you more mental clarity, expanded consciousness, inner peace and a more direct connection your own intuition.  All this will gradually start expanding into your everyday life, not only benefiting you but all those who come in contact with you.  You will learn how to really take care of yourself and the true causes of disease that starts with your own state of mind.  Practicing in this way, you become your own best doctor who can get of the root of problems and not just treat symptoms.

Pre-requisites:
Have an open mind, be willing to let go of things that no longer serve you, and want to explore expanding consciousness.

Each class starts off with Kundalini Yoga to use Mantra’s, Chakra’s (energy centers), Breathing, Meditation & contemplation.  This connects to a higher level of awareness and makes it easier to let go of the energies that aren’t really serving you anymore.

The Kundalini Yoga offers something that Hatha Yoga doesn’t and Hatha Yoga offers something that Kundalini Yoga doesn’t. Sri Ekan being a long term practitioner of both can blend these together to enhance both in a way that they can’t do by themselves.  If you are a person that truly is interested in transformation and the evolution of your soul this is a class for you.  After all Yoga is the union of the body mind and soul so why not go deeply into all of it.  If you are brand new to yoga you’ll be much better of starting with our Yoga Basic class.

Hatha Yoga classes are designed for students who preferably have some yoga experience if not it’s a very good idea to take the Yoga Basic class.  Hatha Yoga is the more common yoga poses people do in yoga.  They are done in our classes with great alignment instructions to keep it safe for all. All techniques and poses will have variations adaptable to where you are. All classes include a yogic theme, meditation techniques, breathing practices and a final relaxation. Classes taught by Sri Ekan incorporate a combination of Kundalini and Hatha Yoga classes.

We will begin at Lake Center Yoga for a Kundalini style class from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. to prepare our bodies and energy fields for the high quality food we will be learning how to prepare and eat. We will then car pool over to Sri Ekan’s and Nirgunavathi’s house for the Un-Cooking Class. Some items will be pre-prepped and others you will help prepare. Sri Ekan will demonstrate how to put the Raw Living Food recipes together.  You will receive a copy of the recipes  and take some additional notes during the demonstration.  There will be plenty of time for questions and answers and talking about health benefits and diet transformation.  Eating together we will then enjoy our creations together and talk about experiences of how we are integrating these ideas in our diets.  We will then car pool back to Lake Center after some tea and a little raw food desert. If your interested in evolving your diet and attuning yourself to a more pure yogic diet this is for you.

These Private Yoga sessions give you the opportunity to work one on one with Sri Ekan addressing your individual wants and needs for your yoga practice. During this time you will receive instructions geared specifically to your body, adjustments, variations and special attention to any chronic injuries or circumstances.

Meditation and specific practices can also be discussed.

This can also be a life coaching session which can sometimes be more important than the physical part. This is a time that can give you a fresh perspective and inspire you to be more excited about life!

1. Sign up for a six-week Yoga Basics or Mixed-Level class on the Schedule above.

If you are new to yoga or have yoga experience, Yoga Basics is your best first step at Lake Center Yoga.

Click on the class you want to join and use the PayPal buttons to pay online, this will secure your spot since we have limited openings. Or pay with cash, check or credit card at the door.

2. Fill out the New Student Registration form and submit it.

If you don’t pay online with PayPal, this is the way for you to save a spot in class.

3. Show up for class 10 minutes early to have plenty of time to settle in.

Showing up on time is 90% of your success in yoga!
